Parkview Housing

A colourful addition to the heart of Govan.

Showcasing the very best in contemporary Scottish architecture and design, the Parkview housing development offers spacious one and two bedroom flats with every modern luxury, including ensuite bathrooms and separate utility and laundry rooms.

The project, led by Govan Housing Association, is a significant element in the long awaited and large scale new build housing programme being delivered as part of the Central Govan Action Plan. So far, it’s been a hit with tenants and home-owners alike and has gathered a rake of awards including a commendation at The Saltire Society Housing Design Awards 2012.

Completed in March 2012, the development offers 102 new, modern homes: 60 for rent, 22 for outright sale and 20 for shared equity purchase. With the houses for sale launched in April 2012 at very attractive prices, most were quickly snapped up. Currently (November 2012) only seven flats remain available for sale.

Affordable, low-cost home ownership is made possible thanks to Scottish Government LIFT funding for New Supply Shared Equity Housing and the Scottish Government’s New Supply Shared Equity Developers Scheme. First time buyers have also been able to access mortgage finance through the Unique Property Solutions (UPS) scheme developed by Cruden Homes and local partners, including Govan Housing Association.

This development is in an extremely prominent location, marking the entry into the designated conservation area of Central Govan when travelling from the Clyde Tunnel along Govan Road. The new development has created a strong and contemporary urban edge and has re-defined the boundary of the historic heart of Central Govan.
