Using creative photography and digital imagery, the ‘Then and Now’ project will aim to create a series of images that best depict the Govan of old, Govan today and even the Govan of tomorrow, as a way of getting people thinking about Govan’s exceptional historic built environment, what’s changed over the years and what still needs to happen to make Govan successful in the future. This is your opportunity to have some fun learning photography and digital editing skills and to create images that showcase what you think is brilliantly unique about Govan and that get people thinking about the potential of this remarkable place in a whole new, positive way. We hope to display the images from the project as a local exhibition in early summer 2014.
We expect to commission a photographer/digital artist to lead this project by March 2014 with a view to starting the project in April 2014. Watch this space, our news feed and our Get Involved pages for more information as it becomes is available. Go on, get into Govan!
