Coming to a park gate near you! The Elder Park gates and the magnificent entrance lamps will be installed this week as the finishing touches are made to the park entranceway restoration. The gates and the beautifully statuesque lamps have been lovingly recreated by artisans using traditional methods and materials, and replicate the original cast-iron railings and Saracen foundry gas lamps that once adorned the gateway. We’re delighted that the #elderpark entrance will once again be lit up as its founder, Isabella Elder, intended, for the delight of the people of Govan.
