icecream architecture launched the Govan Book of Memories project on Saturday 28 September at Govan Cross. The day was a great success. The team were welcomed by the local community as they shared their interesting stories and personal memories.
The next step
Over the next 2 weeks, icecream architecture will be engaging with local schools and local community groups gathering the significant, the forgotten and the inspiring memories of Govan.
Missing Penguin
This is a story someone shared with the team at the launch event.
“From Wine Alley there used to be bus runs for the weens, on one of these they went to some zoo and half the way back to Govan the adults discovered that the kids had managed to smuggle a penguin onto the bus and he had to be returned!”
Can you remember this?
