Ceramics Project Underway

AIR SPACE CERAMICS CLASS

A new evening ceramics project for adults is starting at The Portal AIR Space this Wednesday 21 May 2014 from 6.30pm – 8.30pm, with 3 of the Portal Artists in Residence.
The course is a 6 week project exploring the use of architectural ceramics in traditional buildings in Govan, with the opportunity to design and produce some of your own ceramic tiles in the AIR Space.  For beginners, no previous experience of ceramics work is necessary.

21st May Central Govan guided walk to see examples of traditional architectural ceramic tiles

11th June Mould making
18th June Press moulding with clay / firing finished tile
25th June Glazing and FiringPlease note on the first session on 21st May, the guided walk will cover some distance on foot within central Govan.
